Data you enter

If you choose location, your coordinates are used to set the departure and check nearby official alerts and radar. Location is never requested automatically or tracked in the background. Enabling push alerts separately stores a browser push endpoint, language, precipitation threshold and planned route coordinates/times on our server for active monitoring lasting at most 48 hours. The device keeps a private revocation token. Disable alerts to delete the server record; expired records are removed at the next monitoring run or application request. Notifications follow the planned itinerary, not a continuously tracked vehicle. Public bulletin and radar providers receive location/time queries; they include DPC, DWD, Meteoalarm and KNMI where coverage is available.

Storage and your choices

Language preferences and journeys you choose to save stay in this browser. You can remove the saved journey in the planner. Push alerts are optional and have separate server storage and deletion controls, described above. Browser or Android settings can also clear local data and revoke notification or location permission.

Providers and technical logs

AtmoRoad uses Cloudflare hosting, OSRM routing, Open-Meteo and MET Norway weather, Open-Meteo/GeoNames and Photon place names, and OpenStreetMap map tiles. Traffic sources vary by country and are named in the itinerary. Providers and hosting systems may process IP addresses and request metadata in their technical logs under their own policies. AtmoRoad does not control their retention periods.

We use short-lived server caches for public provider responses to reduce repeated requests. We do not sell personal data, display advertising or add analytics trackers. Requests use HTTPS. Do not enter confidential information in place-name fields.

Your rights and contact

You can request information, correction or deletion of personal data under our control by contacting the address above. Information held by an external provider is subject to that provider’s policies and applicable rights. This page also applies to the Android app, which uses the same hosted service.
